ZOA Dorcas South Sudan is a faith-based organisation that supports communities affected by conflict and natural disasters in hard-to-reach areas in South Sudan. The international organisation focuses on sustainable livelihoods to increase the resilience of people and communities. ZOA Dorcas South Sudan is active in four areas – Western Bahr el Ghazal, Warrap and Jonglei State and the Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA).
In 2022, ZOA Dorcas South Sudan was established to combine the strengths and enhance the impact of ZOA and Dorcas Aid International. ZOA and Dorcas have both been individually present in South Sudan since 1998 and 2008, respectively. Our complementary expertise and geographical coverage enable us to achieve more impact in reaching those most affected by crises.

We envision flourishing South Sudanese communities. We work alongside communities affected by conflict and natural disasters to provide assistance and support in building sustainable livelihoods. We acknowledge the need to address root causes and believe in the importance of addressing diverse needs in complex environments along the humanitarian-development-peace nexus. We believe in the power, talents and abilities of the people we serve and are committed to working together towards partnership.

We see potential in each individual. Working hand in hand with communities, we provide adequate support to address immediate needs, and we support building a favourable, inclusive and peaceful environment for livelihoods to develop and communities to flourish.
